- Established in the 1920's in Christchurch by Englishman Ernest Alfred Adams.
- Range includes slices, loaves, cookies, éclairs, brandy snaps, meringues, profiteroles, cakes, sponges, puddings and tarts.
- Originally began as Adams Bruce Limited, a company co-founded with Christchurch baker Hugh Bruce. The company had bakeries in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.
- After Hugh Bruce's retirement in 1929, Ernest Adams was formed and took over trading in the South Island.
- Current parent company Goodman Fielder manufacture their products at over 40 plants in Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Fiji and New Caledonia. Their Headquarters are located in Sydney.
- in 2015 Goodman Fielder was acquired by Wilmar International and First Pacific.
